Overview

What’s Poppin Penny is a kids podcast and commerce platform designed to bring storytelling and products together in a safe, parent-friendly digital experience. I owned the UX and UI design end to end, focusing on clear structure, age-appropriate design, and trust across both content and shopping flows.

The Challenge

The key challenge was expanding a Framer-based content platform to support commerce without compromising usability or increasing operational overhead. While Shopify integrations were available, they would have introduced an additional subscription model and fragmented the experience. The goal was to design a lightweight, integrated purchase flow that kept the product simple for users and sustainable for the client.

Final Thoughts

This project highlighted how product and UX decisions extend beyond interface design. By navigating technical constraints and cost considerations, I delivered a unified experience that balances engaging content with thoughtful commerce, while keeping the platform simple, sustainable, and scalable.
